A poet and physician active in the Lithuanian nationalist movement, Kudirka wrote the music and lyrics of the Lithuanian National Anthem. Originally, Kudirka was celebrated in the garden in 1938. His bust is a copy of an original by Jonas Zikaras, now in the garden of the Museum of Kamas, Lithuania. The bust was later replaced with a fiberglass copy (?).
