Fountain of Biruta

Located along East Boulevard at the upper level of the Lithuanian Garden, the Fountain of Biruta is, according to a 1937 news report, ” a memorial to the pagan past of the Lithuanian people. Biruta was a pagan priestess in the Temple of Perkunas, the God of Thunder. After marrying Kestutis, son of Grand Duke Gediminas, Biruta gave birth to the Vytavtas, Lithuania’s defender, who in 1410 AD defeated the crusaders.

Believe it or not their is a band that possibly took  the Thundar Gods Name
Its heavy metal and features some pretty excellent guitar with alot of angst.  They remind me of Metalica a little bit but we need somebody who speaks Lithuanian to listen all the way through if you post music who knows what the lyrics are saying.
