Sculptor Amos Mazzoline works in his Yellow Springs, Ohio, studio to craft a bust of Polish composer Jan Paderewski. The bust of Paderewski was added to the Polish Garden in 1947, a donation by the Polish Army Veterans Association, Post No. 6. Mazzoline was a professor of Art at Antioch College.

A piano virtuoso, Paderewski was also an equally successful politician. Early in the twentieth century, he was part of the movement for Polish nationalism and became the newly formed country’s third Prime Minister in 1919.
