Athletes in the Cultural Gardens

Recent research inquiry trying to list all of the sculptures of athletes in the City of Cleveland. Asked if any in Cultural Gardens. Answer is no. The Gardens charter, now constitution, forbids the inclusion of any sports figure in the Gardens. However, some might consider Friedrich Jahn in the German Cultural Garden as an athlete since he started gymnastics in the 19th Century. And in the humorous department you might count the earliest known visage of Chief Wahoo who someone carved into two rocks in the Hebrew Garden in the 1930’s. See photo.
