April 9, Tuesday evening, Annual Dinner and Installation of Officers–details for follow
April 26, Friday, 1-4 PM in many Gardens along both East Blvd and MLK Jr. Drive, volunteers work to clean-up Gardens and get them ready for Spring.
May 5, Sunday afternoon, Polish Garden dedicates their new bust of Adam Mickiewicz, 19th Century poet and essayist, in the Polish Garden at East Blvd at St. Clair Avenues
May 24, Friday, American Garden, on MLK Jr. Drive just north of Superior Avenue bridge. Hawken Middle School students, parents, relatives and the Garden’s neighbors annual outdoor lunch. No fee. Grilled sandwiches/burgers and drinks for all.
July 13, 2013, Saturday, Serbian Garden’s Annual Gold Outing to benefit the Garden. Tee times starting at 11 AM at Sleepy Hollow Golf Course, 9445 Brecksville Road, Brecksville OH 44141 More information: 216-986-1910
July 21, Sunday, from 6 to 7:30 PM Opera in the Italian Garden on East Blvd at Parkgate Avenue; about half way between Superior and St. Clair Avenues. No admission charge. Free parking on East Blvd and MLK Jr. Drive as well as in the Michael White Elementary School’s parking lot on Parkgate. Opera Per Tutti presents Italian Opera favorite arias in solos, duets, and quartets. Bring your picnic dinner to eat before or after the performances, or purchase fresh pizzas baked in a wood-fired oven on the spot. Gelato also available. While 250 folding chairs will be set-up, and you’re welcome to sit on the grass, with 1300 in attendance in 2012 consider bring your own seating, too. Need more information? August 24 and 25, Saturday and Sunday afternoons, along East Blvd from Superior to Parkgate Avenues expanded One World Day Festival with many performing groups, entertainment, food and beverages for sale. Parking at nearby garages with shuttles to the Festival.
December 10, Tuesday evening at 6:30 PM Gardens Federation’s annual holiday dinner–details to come
July 20, Sunday afternoon, Hungarian Garden celebrates its 75th anniversary with dedication of new Garden features as well as extensive restoration.
