Cleveland Cultural Gardens

Recently the statue of General Stefanik was moved from his perch on the pedestal at Jeptha Drive and MLK Jr. Drive in Wade Park.  As you can see from the picture, he’s on the Mayfield Road sidewalk just west of Belvoir for the summer as his pedestal is moved to the Slovak Cultural Garden where the General will go in turn.  With the reconstruction of the intersection of MLK Jr.Drive and East 105th the General and pedestal had to be moved.  The Slovak Cultural Garden leaped at the opportunity since the statue was originally slated to go to the Garden some 80 years ago.
