730 Martin Luther King Jr Dr., Cleveland, Ohio 44103
Russian Cultural Garden and Cleveland Cultural Gardens Federation present the first annual Grand Piano in the Russian Garden concert , which will take place on the site of a future Russian Cultural Garden on Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. in Rockefeller Park (across the street from the Armenian Cultural Garden, North of the Serbian Cultural Garden).
This concert will start the annual events “Grand Piano in the Russian Garden”, which, we hope, will become another lovely tradition, same as Opera in the Italian Garden or Liszt Festival in the Hungarian Garden. This year concert’s theme is Music and Musicians of the Cultural Gardens of Cleveland. There are thirteen busts of the famous musicians installed in seven different Gardens at Rockefeller Park. Their music will be presented by our performers.
Pieces by composers, honored in the Cultural Gardens of Cleveland, such as Chopin (Polish Garden), Liszt (Hungarian Garden), Verdi (Italian Garden), will be performed by brilliant Cleveland musicians (CIM, class of Sergey Babayan) Dmitry Tyurin and Nara Avetisyan , celebrity pianist from Russia – Second Prize and Russian Prize winner of 2013 Cleveland International Piano competition Arseny Tarasevich-Nikolaev, and famous tenor, Laureate of International Contests, Honored Artist of Russia Mikhail Urusov.
FREE for public. Concert starts at 3:00 pm. 150 chairs will be provided but we expect more music lovers to come. Bring your own lawn chairs or blankets and enjoy!
Members of the Friends of the Russian Cultural garden Club are entitled for 2 reserved seats for this concert. Membership is $25/ year. You may pay via http://www.gofundme.com/russiangarden
