One World Day 2012–details

Approximate schedule for the day:

Noon to 1 PM:  Free Lolly-the-Trolley tours of the Gardens every 20 minutes with guide.  Irish Garden is pick-up and drop off point.

1 PM Deposition of two new Gardens’ soils at the American Legion Peace Garden of the Nations–across East Blvd from the Irish Garden.

1:30 PM performance by Hawken School choir in the American Garden

1 PM:  Deposition of the new Gardens’ (Albanian & Croatian) in the soil vault in the American Legion Peace Garden-Nations on Superior Avenue at East Blvd

1:25 PM:  Parade of Nations assembles at the Greek Garden on East Blvd at Parkgate Avenue

2 PM Parade of Nations along East Blvd from the Greek Garden to the Irish Garden near Superior Avenue.

2:15 PM Posting of flags and opening ceremony in the Irish Garden

2:25 PM Welcoming remarks by President Sheila Crawford and diginataries

3 PM Continuing remarks and recitations

3:15 PM Naturalization ceremony of new citizens concluding with Pledge of Allegiance and American the Beautiful

3:50 PM Music and performances through 5 PM when One World Day concludes.
