Two bronze tablets were mounted on the columns that frame the East Boulevard entrance to the Italian Garden. On one tablet are the names of 100 Italians, the Italian coat of arms, and a map of the country. On the other is a symbolic figure of Italy presenting America with the fruits of her cultural achievements.
