A Lutheran minister and poet, Kollar was a Slovak nationalist who advocated for the linguistic rights of Slovaks, and predicted liberty for Slovakia. His bust was a gift of the Evangelical Union and Lutherans of Cleveland. A replacement bust may have been cast by Jirouch.
